Welcome to Issue 9 of Think Fishing and thanks to you all for helping make this video magazine a success. Without you guys these projects would never get off the ground so from all the team at Think Fishing, a big thank you to everybody. Last month’s issue, filmed on my local Bristol Avon, has been very popular so rest assured we will be aiming to bring you more sessions on natural venues over the coming months.

But in this issue we’ve moved into November and at the beginning of the month I arranged to take the camera crew to Acorn Lakes, just off the M5 south of Bristol, to follow me during a Tuesday open match on the venue’s Paddock Lake, which is a canal type venue where the target species are carp. It was dull and eventually very wet and cold day and the fishing was hard, but it’s in these tough conditions that you can learn some very important tricks and techniques and I hope that by following me as I managed to keep some bites and fish coming, you’ll learn a few things that will help you with your own fishing over the winter months.
