Welcome to Issue 7 of Think Fishing and whether this is your first issue or if you’ve been with us since issue 1, a big thank you to everybody for making it a success.

 

This month I’ve been to Meadowlands on the Warren Pool and the aim of the day was to show you how to catch carp in the margins on a venue I’ve never fished before. It didn’t quite work out that way though but I still ended up having a brilliant days fishing so there were still plenty of lessons to be learnt even though I was catching fish I hadn’t planned on catching! It just went to prove that if you go to a venue with a fixed idea on what you’re going to do, you can easily come unstuck if you put all your eggs in one basket. By being prepared and covering my options, I still managed to get the most out of the swim even though Plan A never even looked like it was going work!
