THINK FISHING WITH DES SHIPP
Welcome to Issue 53 of Think Fishing and this month I’m going back to one of my old favourite venues that I used to fish regularly, the beautiful Docklow Pools in Herefordshire. There are several lakes on site as well as a tackle shop, pub and excellent accommodation, and today I’m tackling the Match Pool which has recently undergone a lot of Dredging work to remove all the silt.
The lake itself has two islands and there’s plenty of room, and I’ve been told there are plenty of ide, carp and F1s to target. But, after a few days of heavy rain and falling temperatures, the water has gone cold and is heavily coloured and that can present some tricky conditions to catch fish in. It's an ideal situation for filming Think Fishing though, because these are conditions that we all face at some point during the colder months. But you can catch fish, even in heavily coloured cold water, and in this issue I'll show you exactly how I approach it.
