Welcome to Issue 14 of Think Fishing and thanks to all of you for your continued support, hope you enjoy the videos and emag as much as we enjoy putting it all together for you. This month I took the camera crew to Manor Farm Leisure on the outskirts of Evesham and the aim of the session was to show how to get the most out of a swim in the early spring when confronted with open water and an island.

Islands hold a lot of fish all year round but they’re really important areas to target at this time of year and because the one in front of me during this session was well out of range of the pole, I decided to attack it with a pellet feeder. I’ve caught loads of fish on the pellet feeder over the last couple of years so this was the ideal opportunity to show you how I go about it and also maximise the swim’s potential by feeding and fishing a pole line as well.
