Welcome to Issue 12 of Think Fishing. With the cold weather taking hold over the last few weeks fishing on many venues has become patchy and tricky. But after recently winning a round of the Sensas Teams of 5 Challenge at Makins with over 30lb of roach on bloodworm and joker, I thought it would be a good idea to show you how to approach a session or match with these baits. At this time of year this tactic can produce nets of fish that other baits simply can’t, and there are several places now where you can obtain worm and joker and you can even order it online and get it delivered to your door if you prefer!

 

The venue is Shatterford Lakes near Kidderminster and after watching this month’s video I hope all of you will see just how simple fishing bloodworm and joker really is. The trickiest part is getting your groundbait mixes right but once you’ve done that and fed the swim correctly, the rest really is plain sailing.
