Welcome to Issue 22 of Think Fishing and thank you all for your continued support. If there’s one thing we can’t do anything about it’s the weather and in this issue, filmed at the excellent Todber Manor in Dorset, my session catching small carp on the waggler quickly turned into a session on how to fish in a gale force wind! Once I got out of my van at the side of the lake I quickly realised that fishing the waggler was out of the question and fishing the pole could have been ruled out too because of the wind.

I do get a lot of questions on Facebook from anglers asking how to fish in the wind so instead of getting back in the van and coming back another day, we decided to brave the elements and show you guys how to approach a session or match in very windy conditions. It was hard going and my top kits blew into the lake on a couple of occasions, but we got the issue in the can and I even managed to catch some fish so hop you enjoy the issue.
