THINK FISHING WITH DES SHIPP
Welcome to issue 46 of Think Fishing and this month is all about catching carp. As you all know fishing in general is tricky at this tome of year and even more so when you're targeting carp. We're filming this issue in mid January, and we've had freezing weather over the last week and it's made water temperatures plummet so catching carp wherever we go is going to be a challenge. After a lot of thought I decided the best venue to show you my winter tactics for carp, were the Whitepost Lakes at Todber Manor.
There are two lakes here and they're situated about a mile away from the main, newer Todber Manor complex, and I decided to fish the Top Lake because with a biting northerly wind blowing, this offered a bit of shelter from the freezing winds. As expected after a week of freezing cold temperatures, the colour had dropped out and the clarity was going to make things even harder. Hope you get a lot from this issue, I learnt loads from the day and hope you all do too.
