Welcome to Issue 43 of Think Fishing and this month I’ve caved in to peer pressure and decided to do something I normally don’t like to do in front of the Think Fishing cameras, and that’s fish a match! There’s always quite a lot of work involved when filming Think Fishing and that often involves me stopping fishing to do other things like have pics taken etc and there’s also the bankside disturbance from the cameramen walking around to get the shots they need for the video and mag etc.

That makes fishing a match in front of the cameras tricky because we still need to get everything we need from the day, so on most occasions I shy away from fishing matches… but not this month! In the end I decided to visit Harescombe Fishery, a gorgeous venue near Gloucester that I haven’t fished for about 12 months, and I entered one of their Thursday open matches that are fished on the canal styled Match lake. Hope you enjoy the issue as you see how I fish a match 'live' and all the things I take into account when making decisions.
