Welcome to Issue 42 of Think Fishing and this month I’ve brought you back to the fantastic Stafford Moor complex down in Devon. By the time you get to watch and read this issue it will be the end of August and, as we head into September, many of you will be thinking about festival fishing and one of my favourite festivals that I fish every year is here on this complex.

One lake that you have to fish in every festival is Pines and this really is the one lake where you can come unstuck because it’s a silver fish venue and at 8 feet down the middle, it’s deep for a commercial. Don’t get me wrong there are plenty of fish in here but catching them can be tricky so I’m going to show you today some of the methods that I use for silver fish on this type of venue that have done me proud over the years and, on occasions, got me out of trouble.
