Welcome to Issue 39 of Think Fishing and this month I’m taking you back to Todber Manor, which is an excellent commercial complex down in Dorset. I’ve just come back from a three-day festival there only a couple of days prior to filming this issue, and I was lucky enough to win the festival so I thought it would be a great idea to get back here straight away so I can run you through some of the tactics I used to win the festival and at the same time, show you some of the awesome fishing on offer here.

The weather during the festival was red hot and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky or hardly a breath of wind for the three days, and today it’s still really warm and calm but it looks like it could cloud over as the day goes on. With it still being really warm, fishing shallow is now going to be a big option for anybody fishing on commercials at this time of year and that’s what this issue is all about - fishing various parts of the swim in water less than two and half feet deep which is exactly where the fish want to be when it’s warm.
