Welcome to Issue 34 of Think Fishing and this month I’ve finally managed to bring you something that I’ve been trying to do since we started Think Fishing nearly three years ago… a proper session on the waggler! In the past the waggler has never been quite right because of conditions on the day but in Issue 34 the stars aligned and everything was perfect at Atwood Fishery, near Droitwich. It was a venue I’d never fished before so I was going in blind and what a session it turned to be on the waggler.

Not only that, but to make things even more interesting the main species I ended up catching were carassio, which are a lot like crucians or F1s but a lot less common in this country but they were the perfect target in front of the cameras because they’re crafty and often difficult to catch. The waggler is such a deadly method in the winter when conditions are right for it so I hope you enjoy this issue because it’s packed with hints and tips that are certain to help you improve your waggler fishing skills.
